Professor Albus Dumbledore is a character and Master Builder in The LEGO Movie, originally from Harry Potter. Vitruvius always gets his name wrong, often calling him "Gandalf", much to the anger of the real Gandalf and Dumbledore.
"Albus Dumbledore was never proud or vain; he could find something to value in anyone, however apparently insignificant or wretched, and I believe that his early losses endowed him with great humanity and sympathy. I shall miss his friendship more than I can say, but my loss is nothing compared to the wizarding world's. That he was the most inspiring and the best loved of all Hogwarts Headmasters cannot be in question."
- Elphias Doge in Albus Dumbledore's obituary
Professor Albus Percival Wulfic Brian Dumbledore (1881-1997) was believed to be the greatest wizard of all time, being the only wizard whom Lord Voldemort ever feared and Peeves the Poltergeist ever respected (though that didn't stop Peeves from calling him Professorhead and Your Headship). When attending Hogwarts, he was sorted into Gryffindor, the house of the brave. His Patronus is corporeal and a phoenix. Albus is particularly famous for being a headmaster of Hogwarts, defeating the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (who used to be a close friend of Albus before going rogue and pursuing Dark Magic), finding twelve uses of dragon blood, and working on alchemy with his partner and close friend Nicholas Flamel. He was once the master of the Elder Wand until he was killed by Professor Severus Snape, a close friend and ally (the death was planned, because Dumbledore did not want a more painful death by a cursed ring, which was already weakening him.) and when he was buried with the Elder Wand near Hogwarts, Lord Voldemort took the opportunity to steal it from the grave, gaining immense power.
Harry Potter named one of his children Albus Severus Potter in honor of him and Professor Snape (who died later on), calling them the bravest men he ever knew. He sometimes speaks with a portrait of Dumbledore located in Headmistress McGonagall's office at Hogwarts, though Dumbledore likes to appear in his other portraits more often.
One of his names is Percival, which is ironic because his enemy Gellert Grindelwald once disguised himself as an official named Percival Graves in the 1920's, took over MACUSA, and nearly killed Newton Scamander and Porpentina Goldstein.
There are rumors that his friend Nicholas Flamel is secretly Santa Claus.
